Advanced Focus System | Single and Multi-Optic

As readers know, the LED Lenser line uses an Advanced Focus System to eliminate dark spots during the transition in focusing from broad to focused light (read “The LED Lenser Advanced Focus System” for more).  There are two ways in which this system is implemented.

One is the single optic system which is used with one high intensity LED within a torch or flashlight to create a spot-to-flood beam that captures all useable light from that bulb.  Torches using the Advanced Focus System – Single Optic can reach an effective light beam range of 300 feet.

The multi-optic system is used within the design of a flashlight or torch that utilizes multiple high intensity LEDs to further intensify the light beam and to create stageless transitioning between beams. Lights using the Advanced Focus System – Multi Optic can reach an effective light beam range of 1765 feet.

When you are looking over the LED Lenser HP line, take note of the type of focusing system capability it has and uses. This will help you with deciding if the light is strong enough for your needs, no matter whether they are for professional use, home emergency lighting, or outdoor recreation.
