Military Flashlights Durability Includes Water-Resistance

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Durability in a military flashlight first and foremost means that it can be dropped, shaken or other wise beat-up with little or no effect on its performance.  Lights made for military purpose are put through the tests needed to ensure that these lights will not fail or fall apart when they are needed. Durability in these flashlights also means that they are often times very water-resistant. Though we may never face some of the harsh conditions put upon our men and women of the Army, Navy and Marine Corp, for many outdoorsmen and extreme sportists, it does not hurt to have a flashlight that passes the rigorous requirements of government military standards.

Product Review | Convertible Tactical Weapon Mount Light

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Adding a light to a handgun or rifle can increase their effectiveness tremendously.  Some law enforcement officers and most military personnel utilize powerful lights that can be mounted to a weapon to enhance their field of vision, improve their accuracy and free up a hand for other uses like steadying a larger gun or sending hand signals to the others working with them.  Many mounted lights to date have used high-powered xenon bulbs. Though effective, they lack the benefits found in LED lights.
