Not all flashlights have the same use or function. Sure, flashlights are designed to illuminate a particular area but when you get into the complexity of law enforcement flashlights you add a number of additional dimensions and potential needs. For example, did you know that certain LED flashlights designed to aid in navigation? There are also law enforcement LED flashlights that come with a searchlight or flood beam function, an important feature for illuminating and canvassing a large area. Other law enforcement flashlights possess particular tactical uses like strobe lighting for emergency notifications or stunning. Because of this it is important to identify your or your officers’ needs and then find the appropriate flashlight or set of lights that can deliver on those needs.

New $5 Bill Safer and More Secure

The new U.S. $5.00 Bill was put into circulation on March 13, 2008.  The US Treasury updated the bill to make it safer and more secure than its predecessor.  These new bills are harder to fake and much easier for store owners, banks and the government to check for authenticity.

Military Flashlights Durability Includes Water-Resistance

Durability in a military flashlight first and foremost means that it can be dropped, shaken or other wise beat-up with little or no effect on its performance.  Lights made for military purpose are put through the tests needed to ensure that these lights will not fail or fall apart when they are needed. Durability in these flashlights also means that they are often times very water-resistant. The same sturdy encasements that make them unbreakable, also make them water-impermeable.  Those in law enforcement, the military and emergency services have to work in the rain or in flooded conditions, depending on their location, and the need for a flashlight that will not malfunction when wet is critical.

Officer Training | Action Target Academy

The second level of Shoothouse Instruction from the Action Target Academy is scheduled for March 27-28 in Greenville, Kentucky.  Training will solidify the life-fire shoothouse training students received in part 1.  This training session will teach advanced techniques for entering buildings, clearing rooms and controlling occupants in a home. Key topics explored in the session include low-light firearms and searching techniques, sniper initiated assaults and chemical environment assessment.

Catch Counterfeits With A Ultraviolet Flashlight

In December 2007, over $1.1 million in counterfeit $100 bills were seized from a home in Tonala near Guadalajara. Authorities were working on tracking down these thieves since 2005 after fake $100 bills were showing up all over southern California. 12 counterfeiters were arrested during the raid.
