Flooding causes incredible damage to property and strands people in such a way to be potentially deadly. Many don’t consider that fire danger can actually be a by-product of a flooding catastrophe.

If there was one item that was probably the singular most recognizable visual symbol for camping it would be the classic image of a lantern. Now, in the “old days”, lanterns operated on oil or kerosene. While such lanterns are still produced this very day there is also the safer and more cost effective option of a battery operated lantern. The evolution of the camping lantern did not stop with batteries, however. Now campers are more and more relying on the power and efficiency of LED lanterns.
