While most correctly assume that tactical lights serve the purpose of clearly identifying a target they also serve another purpose that some may be unfamiliar. These powerful lights can also be used to momentarily blind a subject. The strength of these professional lights can serve to harmlessly stun a perpetrator, burglar, or other criminal suspect so they can be safely subdued. Deadly force is not always necessary and is taught to never be the first reaction to any situation.  There are a number of obvious uses for a sturdy tactical light and several not-so-obvious ones like this that law enforcement and military personnel utilize on a regular basis.

Although they are not as popular or as easy to find as your typical flashlight, there are a number of fine red LED tactical flashlights on the market from some quality brands that come in a number of model sizes and variations.  Red LED tactical flashlights are useful for a number of reasons, most importantly to help preserve night vision. Red lights do not cause the pupil in the eye to constrict when they are turned on, enabling whoever is using the light to maintain wider lenses, and better vision in the dark.

Tactical lights are a critical aspect of law enforcement equipment.  This is why great care should be taken to preserve their “shelf life.” Most manufacturers of tactical lights, like LED Lenser, design them to be the most durable and highest quality lights on the market so that they can withstand the toughest conditions for a long time. But, all lights have their limits and replacing bulbs or entire lights may be needed.

Are you the type of person who throws out their receipts after they have made a purchase? If so, you really need to rethink that policy because every time you purchase a new tactical flashlight or flashlight replacement bulbs / batteries for professional reasons you can take a tax deduction. However, it is important to keep all receipts, whether online or from a storefront retailer, from your purchases because you may be required to prove your purchase.
